President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has expressed admiration over the organization of the Super 8 Nigeria National League, NNL, Championship, reassuring that the Federation will continually throw its weight behind the development of football in the country.
He made the statement recently during the final of the just concluded Championship at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.
According to him, he commended the organizers of the league for doing a marvelous job during the season, adding that the teams that participate in the Super 8 competition gave a good account of themselves.
Also Speaking, Chairman of the Nigeria National League, NNL, George Aluo hinted that they will do a holistic review and assessment of the just concluded season, while expressing gratitude to the Enugu State government and other relevant stakeholders for their support.
Reacting to the kind of approach that was adopted, Head Coach of Beyond Limits Football Club (Ikene), Ajibola Joseph, gave an insight on how his side had been set up going into the championship and several other competitions they have participated.
On his part, Captain Adio Ganiyu, admitted that the game was not an easy one especially playing against a sound, tactical and organized side, but congratulated his teammate for their doggedness and determination.
Meanwhile, Beyond Limits FC emerged winners of the 2023/24 NNL Championship defeating Nasarawa United FC 4-3 on penalties after both sides ended 2-2 on regulation time.
