The Nigeria Basketball Federation NBBF has invited 20 players to the Senior National Women’s Basketball Team, D’Tigress as they are set to open its first phase camp in the FCT, Abuja in preparation for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

This was disclosed on D’Tigress’ X handle on Wednesday, and the invited players are expected to start arriving the camp from today.

Players from Nigeria Customs, First Bank, Mountain of Fire and Dolphins made the 20-player list.

D’Tigress are in Group B alongside hosts France, Australia and Canada at the 2024 Olympic games.

They will open their campaign against Australia on 29 July.

Meanwhile, the team will play Germany and Puerto Rico in friendly games next month ahead of the Olympics games.

According to reports, D’Tigress will play Germany in the Berlin Basketball Festival on July 19, and take on Puerto Rico in their second tune-up fixture on July 24.
