ENUGU STATE TAEKWONDO ASSOCIATION SET TO GRADE ATHLETES.

The Enugu State Taekwondo Association has concluded plans and arrangements for the 28th edition of belt grading and prize ceremony, scheduled to take place tomorrow, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.

The ceremony which will witness about 70 athletes consists of children, young people and adults will be accessed by their various coaches.

Speaking to newsmen yesterday, the Chairman of Enugu State Taekwondo Association, Ebere Amarizu hinted that the event which is organized in collaboration with the Cope and live mental health Awareness foundation, noted that the activities and training has given the athletes the opportunity to channel their energies into positive and meaningful things.

In his words, former Africa Taekwondo Champion and Enugu State Taekwondo Coach, Grand Master, Dennis Ani, reiterated that the training the participants have undergone in the past few months will help sharpen and remodel their mental and physical alertness.

 

The event which will feature general knowledge of the sport, basic techniques such as breaking, attack and defense, would be used to access the athletes that would be graded to the next belt level.
