Administrative Secretary of Rangers Cooperation Limited, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua has described the enthusiasm of the state government parastatal to go public as a way of creating its financial branding, independence and stability, stressing that the registered members would be known as Ambassadors.

He made this statement during an interactive session that was held in Enugu recently.

According to him,  the government must have laid down policy with the backing from the state legislation before the club can be put up on the stock market, hinting that such stance would come up sometime in the future but the management are desirous in increasing the fan base, support and massive followership worldwide.

The legal luminary emphasized the seriousness of the current administration to return Enugu Rangers back to its original home ground as well as the rehabilitation and re grassing works at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, adding that the vacant positions in the club will be taken care of by the state government in due course.

On the issue of the sponsorship contract with a beer company, the football administrator expressed disappointment how the League Management Company handled the sponsorship deal, reaffirming that none of the Southeast teams got any money from the endorsement.

Meanwhile, the 7-time league winner, Enugu Rangers has commenced training activities for the forthcoming 2023/24 Nigeria Premier League, NPL, under the watchful eyes of the former Heartland FC and Plateau United gaffer, Fidelis Ilechukwu, who was recently appointed as the new technical adviser of the club.
