Head Coach, Danaz Ladies Football Club of Lagos, Bashiru Fatai says qualifying for the next stage of the country’ oldest glamorous football competition without kicking a ball, simply suggests that they must prepare for every opponent in the championship.

He made the statement, after his team walked over Might Jets Ladies FC (Jos) in the round of 32 of the 2024 President Federation Cup, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, today.

Speaking to newsmen, the coach hinted on the decision of the center referee as stipulated by rules and regulations governing football competitions, while reaffirming their target in this year’s edition of the competition.

Similarly, in the ongoing Enugu State Football League, Okache Friday was indeed the hero for his side as young Udi Stars FC (Udi) proved too difficult to handle  edging past Olicon FC 2-0.

On his part, Coach of Udi Stars FC, Leonard Izuchukwu commended the doggedness of his players, adding that they had to re-strategizes in the course of the game in order to nullify any threat from the opponent.

In the first game of the day, Great Achievers defeated 1920 FA 2-1.

Tomorrow’s encounter will witness Group C teams as Purple Krown FC Vs Graceland FC do battle by 9am, while Giant Brillars will take on Strikers FC by 11pm at Rangers International Training Pitch.
