The Executive Chairman of the Enugu Sports Club, Barrister John Henry Nwosu has reassured the commitment of the current executives in deliverying quality goods and services that suits internationals standards.
He made this statement over the weekend during the induction of the club’s distinguished members as the new patrons, at the Club house, Okpara Avenue, GRA.
In his pening speech, the chairman stated that the event is a long standing tradition in the club’s affair, that is targeted at raising men and women of integrity and repute, that would throw their weight financially, physically and mentally behind the set objectives and aspirations of the club.
The legal luminary reiterated that paucity of funds, infrastructural decay, dearth of facilities, moribund projects are some of the challenges that miltated against the operations of the current administration, advocating for more financial support to complete some of the projects.
Meanwhile the newly inaugurated patrons are Professor Charles Igwe, the current Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Professor Mike Nwafor, of Godfrey Okoye University and Honourable Chukwuemelie Lambert Agu, the Managing Director Enugu State Housing Cooperation.
It would be recalled that the Enugu Sports Club established in 1929 as a centre for relaxation and physical exercise through various outdoor and indoor games, as well as convivial atmosphere for intellectual, business and political association.
