APGA CANDIDATE, NWEKE JR. PROMISES ECONOMY SECURITY IN ENUGU.

Dr. Frank Nweke Jr. the candidate for All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) 2023 Governorship election in Enugu, has promised to provide adequate security for business to strive in the state.

Nweke made the promise at the Enugu Business Community Town Hall meeting held Inside, Enugu State Chember of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) conference hall on Thursday.

In his presentation, Nweke said his administration will provide adequate security to ensure that business strive and also regulate excess taxation in the state.

“To improve security, there must be an intelligent gathering, availability of CCTV, improvement of the security welfare and other strategies,”he explained.

He promised to restore trust to the government, a place where equality will be the watch word and everybody will be treated and respected and improve healthcare.

“We will focus on creating wealth in the areas the state have comparative advantage and with the right leadership, all these things will come to pass,”he said.

Nweke said, there are significant advantage on restoration of abandoned state coal which can be used for electricity and harnessing of the recently discovered Gas at the Emene axis of be state.

“We will make Enugu State a Manufacturing and Industrial Hub by, empowering the small and medium scale business and bring back the industries in the state to life.

“We will strengthen the civil service, introduce the pension scheme for civil servants and improve the Judiciary for speedy justice delivery and cut down the cost of governance.

“My government will increase Federal engagement, we will construct roads to link farms to the markets and communities,” Nweke said.

Earlier in his opening remark, the chairman of the event Mr Olisaemeka Jideonwo said he want to witness a state where things will be done right.

“In 1978, students are being paid busary of N1, 200 and our currency has value as it was one naira to two dollars.

“The People that made things easy for the citizens were Nigerians, so it is bestowed on us to choose those that will bring back the hair days back, by making the right choice,” he said.

Welcome address, the ECCIMA president, Mr Jasper Nduagwuike said the purpose of the meeting was for all partners in business to share experience with 2023 candidates.

The president who was represented by the Second Deputy President, Mr Nnayelugo Onyemelukwe said the programme is to give all 2023 candidates opportunity to interface with the business stakeholders in the state.

“Today meeting is to give all professional, Town unions, business professional and stakeholders the opportunity to share experience with the 2023 APGA candidate towards finding solution and development to economy of the state,” he said.
