Chairman of Enyimba International Football Club of Aba, Chief Felix Anyasi-Agu has attributed the victory of the club side in the just concluded Super Six Championship in Lagos to hard work, determination and dedication on the part of the Management, staff and players of the club, adding that victory will spur the team for more titles.

He made this statement yesterday in a programme from his base in Aba.

According to him, despite the internal challenges, financial setbacks and below par performance of the team in some games during the league season, winning the title for the government and people of Abia State mean so much to him.

Chief Anyasi-Agu, who is also the first Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, revealed it took a lot of trust and belief in the Rivers State born former Super Eagles attacker, Finidi George even when the results and performance from the team was not coming, saying that he admires his personality.

The seasoned football administrator who has won numerous titles within and Africa continental with Aba club, hints on the plans and preparations ahead of the forthcoming competitions, acknowledging that the football system in the country is far behind with what is obtainable in some other African footballing nations.

The Aba giants which was founded in 1976, rose to prominence in the 2000’s and is considered the most successful Nigerian football club as they have won 2 African Champions League titles, 9 NPFL titles and 4 Federation Cups since 2001.
