2022 AIETO/FEDERATION CUP: AKWA UNITED OUTCLASSED REMO STARS AS GREEN BERET FC OUST BAYELSA UNITED.

Akwa United Football Club (Uyo) yesterday defeated Remo Stars FC (Ikenne) 3-0 at the ongoing Aieto/Federation cup round of 32 fixture played at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus Stadium.
The Uyo based side started on a brighter note, dominating and controlling the place of the game displaying scintillating and exciting football artistry. Attacking midfielder, Samuel Amadi struck midway through the first stanza for the “promise keeper” to give his side the slight advantage.
 The second 45 minutes lived up to expectations as Remo Stars became more ambitious and threatening but were not composed and clinical to make their opportunities count in front of goal. Amadi again struck twice in the 67th and 81st minute to seal victory for the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champion.
